Ignored Options and features in KasperSky Internet Security 2012

In India Kaspersky is very famous and most used Anti-Virus and Internet Security. But very less of us know about all functions of it. Apart from basic Anti-Virus and Firewall it do a lot more. In this Blog I am focusing on some good functions and option in Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 that most of us ignore. Before going further I want to say one thing here, NO ONE IS 100% SAFE & SECURE, EVEN AFTER INSTALLING BEST ANTI VIRUS, INTERNET SECURITY, or FIREWALL.

Even after installing good anti-virus, it is depend on us how much we are safe.

Now I am coming to on my main point of this blogs, Some Good Ignored Features of Kasersky Internet Security 2012 :

1) Parental Control : From Windows 7 onwards this feature is started coming in Windows. But I still prefer Kaspersky Parental Control, it has a lot more feature then Windows one. In this you can put restriction on running programs, Login time, Web Browsing. Also you can monitor all activity for a user. From here you can also get the report on daily , weekly and monthly basis.

If you have more then one user account then use it to limit function of a slandered account.

2) Email Notification : Normally our system are used by other persons, when we are away form it; at that time we are not able to get any notification. If you want to get some critical notifications when you are away from your computer then enable email notification for your required notifications and get all notification via email in real time (A working net connection is required here). You can enable it from Setting > Advance Setting > Notifications.

3) Vulnerability Scan : This scan allow you to know Vulnerabilities in your computer Operating System or installed applications. These Vulnerabilities will cause your computer at risk. You can get all details about any Vulnerability from here. Most of application Vulnerability can be removed by updating it to latest version.

 

4) Kaspersky Rescue Disk : Another good option in Kaslersky. As I already mention that No one is 100% Safe. In some worst case if something happen to your computer then you can use the Kaspersky Rescue Disk. It can create a bootable CD or USB Pen Drive, with set of tools that can detect and remove computer infections. You can find it in Tools.

5) Password Protection : I like this feature. It give me option that no one can change any setting in Kaspersky Internet Security. I can only change any thing, even no one stop protection, as it require password. I will suggest you to always use this. You can enable password protection from Settings > Protection Center > General Settings.

I will also suggest you to apply Password scope on all.

I hope these options will make your Kaspersky more useful, and can make your system more secure.
