Email Notification in Kaspersky

Hi, in my previous blog I shared few option of Kaspersky, that I think everyone should know.

In this blog I am talking only about Email Notification. I think Email Notification is very good option for a person who's system is used by many people and he/she want to track all critical events/notifications related to Anti Virus.

Before I start, you should know about few things. For sending a email, we need a Sender and Receiver email address, with SMTP server address and Port of Sender email service provider.
You can use a email id specially for this purpose or same email id in both sender and receiver. Receiver (To) email id should be that one where you want to get the alert. You can get details of SMTP server and port just by simple searching on Google for your email service provider.


Steps for Enabling and configuring Email notifications :

1) First go to Settings > Advance Settings > Notifications > Enable email notifications
and enable the email notifications.

2) After enabling click on Settings... in Enable email notifications

In new window you have to give details of sender and receiver, in From (sender) you have to fill following things :

Address:	Email id of sender.
SMTP server:	Address of SMTP of sender mail service provider like gmail, hotmail, aol, etc.
Port:	Port no of SMTP server.
User name:	User name of Sender, usually email id of sender.
Password:	Password of sender mail.

While in To (Receiver) you just need to give the address on which mail should be sent.

After all you can use Test button to test whether all things all work or not. If you received a mail on your To email Id from Kaspersky, then all things are working properly (Please make sure there is working net connection before starting test.). Mail may take upto 10 minutes in coming depending upon conditions.

You can also choose the send mode, Immediately when a particular event occurs, or By schedule, at particular time all events notifications.

3) Which notification are should be sent by mail also? You have to also make config for this that which notification should be send by Kapsersky via email notifications. For that you have to go Enable event notification's Setting...

Now here you have to choose for which events it should send a email notifications. I will suggest you to choose at-least all critical events for email notifications.

I am giving the Smtp server address and port no for some famous email service providers, please check it and confirm from your side before use :
